My poem, A Visual Meditation on Natural Gestures, was recently published in The Night Heron Barks, 2023. According to their website, this “online poetry journal is built on the belief that every poet has their sound. We run one issue a year. Each one is built like a book. The work we publish is diverse; the only criteria excellence. The experience is immersive. We build our stage with art and sound.” With that description, how could a playwright resist submitting a poem?
If the poem’s title seems familiar, that’s because it’s the same title as my short film, which was the original inspiration. If you’ve never seen the film or wish to see it again, the editor embedded it right underneath my verse.
