Never Met a Metonym I Didn’t Like

Imagine my surprise to open a packet in the mail to find a photo of mine gracing the cover of a book. Metonym is an annual literary journal out of the undergraduate English program of William Jessup University in Rocklin, California. A while back I sent a few photos to them for consideration. Received a reply that they accepted three of them. The one on the cover was a horizontal photo of people waiting at a bus stop. I loved how they split the photo in two and created the front and back cover. The other two photos, Love Locks I and Love Locks II, were also printed in color on pages 66 and 67 in the Spring 24 issue (vXII).

“The staff of Metonym believes that great art worthy of publication must say something profound and meaningful about the human experience.” Amen to that!
